Actor and MP Dev experienced a brief health scare on Friday after falling ill just before boarding a helicopter for election campaigning. The incident occurred at the Behala Flying Club, where he had arrived to travel to multiple campaign destinations. Amid intense heat and a packed political schedule, he reportedly felt dizzy and unwell moments before departure.
According to initial medical checks, his blood pressure was found to be slightly lower than normal. He complained of dizziness but responded quickly after receiving immediate medical attention at the spot. Within a short time, his condition improved, allowing him to proceed with his planned यात्रा and continue campaigning.
The actor has been actively campaigning for candidates in the ongoing Assembly elections, maintaining a demanding routine that included public rallies and outreach programmes across constituencies. On Friday, his itinerary included visits to Ranaghat, Mathurapur and Ghatakpukur, with an early start to the day following extensive campaigning the previous day.
Sources indicated that irregular meals, lack of rest and continuous exposure to extreme summer heat contributed to his condition. Despite the brief setback, Dev is currently stable and continuing his campaign activities, even as the intense Boishakh heat continues to pose challenges during the election season.
